A Blessed Day
It was one of those rare days that I was home all day, and it was also the day I re-entered the pool at my condo! It has been "closed" all summer (and won't go into that) it opened again recently but this was my first day in since it opened, and since they turned on the heaters the end of last week. IT WAS PERFECT TODAY!!!!!!!
It may have been 90-92 degrees today but no humidity and was absolutely wonderful. I did all my water exercises and then spent a glorious half hour in the sauna.
This morning I began reading my "homework" for the week in the class I am taking, based on book by Deepak Chopra, "The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire", and the sauna was the perfect place to relax, close my eyes, meditate, and affirm and declare the four intentions I have set for myself (in this class). As I left the pool after spending an hour there, I felt totally 100% blessed and grateful! it was absolutely a "thank you God day!".
The past three nights I have gone to sleep, slept 4 hours and then was awake for several hours during the night. I am sure this session in the pool today will bring calm and benefits to me tonight.
This was a good weekend, as had a fantastic brunch and visit with my nephew from Vegas, who was here with his son's mother from Dallas, for the ASU Parent's weekend. His son is a Jr. at ASU. There were six of us at the brunch at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa-Desert Ridge, where he was staying. I felt wrapped in luxury and good food, and family.
Tomorrow is the 16th anniversary of my beloved son Frankie's death, and as hard as it is to even think about sometimes, it seems unbelievable it could have been 16 years ago. Time goes way too quickly, just in a blink it seems.
My life has been a roller coaster, which I have been told is what I chose for myself in this lifetime, so my learning would be accelerated. Maybe everyone feels their life is a roller coaster, but I know for sure that mine has been just that. I can
still say "life is good", so guess I am learning.
Phoenix is so beautiful right now and it is my favorite time of the year. Good memories and sad memories, but all part of growth and life.
I love the quote I found today, "I dwell in possibilities" (Emily Dickinson). How true. Thank you, Spirit.
